I make alot to stock units and keep some on hand. Although the stock units look like a ,ONE OF, custom leather holster they have earned a place in my inventory.
In Addition, I often take custom work as well . Not just custom leather holster and belts. Some of my best work has been with my customer's input.

I have first timers and even experienced concealed carriers come to me and ask that. this is one of the best part of this work.
I listen and give a few ideas from what I've learned.
Inexperienced or firstime to concealed carry is hard.
But no worries, There really isn't to terrible much to it.
This is really were a custom leather holsters shines.
Getting what you can really use save you time and money, and hopefully keeps you safe.
You have to ask yourself how do I want to carry?
Belt, belly, shoulder? now where at on the belt ,bell, shoulder?
What activity will you be doing?
walking, sitting ,standing, driving? All the above?
All methods of carry are dictated by choice. Your firearm , your close, and your environment play the biggest part.
Laws in your state are very important.
Custom leather won't help you if you don't have the proper permit to carry in the state. all that aside here's some things to consider.
A small 380 caliber can be slipped into your pocket. A micro pistol ( 3 inch or less barrel) like a SIG P365 can be a pocket holster as well as an
IWB (inside the waistband) and OWB too.
A compact is generally a 3 to 3.5 inch barrel. these can be IWB or OWB. but are to large to fit in a pocket. Not even a custom holster can beat physics.
If yours comes without a safety be sure to get a leather holster for it.
Any semiauto pistol without a safety must be carried with a holster.
Many newbies and most will have some clip type IWB models because the are convenient to put on and to take off quickly.
I also keep a OWB (outside the waistband) or belt slide( pancake) model for all my pistols as well. That way if a elect to wear a loose shirt but tight pants I'm comfortable anyway.

If It sounds like I'm trying to sell custom leather holsters here, I am, but what's not what matters. What matters is that you don't leave your pistol in your desk drawer the next time you go out. That's the real goal!!!

Business is growing in the leather holster world
I have embarked on a campaign in Miami to set up a table as a vendor at the local gunshows. I have a banner with lights. I go by C3leatherworks. Just look for the best holsters in the building. I hope to sell more items than leather holsters, leather belts. I just need to find the time to start some new lines. At the first shows I barely made enough to pay for the cost of my table. Making custom leather holsters in Miami is tough. There are very few of us but there are many many plastic makers in and around Miami.
What I did was keep my quality high, and it didn't take long until I started to get some attention. Custom leather holsters have a place in Miami, but the warm weather plays a huge part in this market. At first I had a lot customers who were left handed and needed custom work , because there were no left handed holsters to match. I was happy to help them. They still make up about 10% of my sales. Next were the customers who needed a custom leather holster , because they elected to carry with a light attached to the rail. If you are a night trucker making deliveries in a seedy area. You can see what I mean. I also make a lot of shoulder holsters. I have made dozens for church security personnel, and business owners. As well as some of Miami's finest PD detectives . So glad to help them.
For me custom leather fits it's purpose by far. Superior comfort by far. SILENT draw by far. (Perfect Retention by far. prove me wrong :)
and YES I can make a leather holster that an Olympic runner could wear doing 100 yard dash, still be able to quick draw properly.
